Present the Dahua Pro NVR 2 Disk 16CH 16PoE+ 4KS2 (5216-16P-4KS2)
IMAG0767.jpg IMAG0766.jpg

Initial Impressions: I'm directly comparing this to my experience w/a 4216-4K.. I have 10 Channels of 2MP-4MP cameras on H264 & H265 connected via external PoE, I will not be using any of the internal PoE ports on this.
  • Built in Power Supply and Chassis Fan (Not Silent)
  • Much Faster Response time searching recordings w/Dahua Clients
  • Much Snappier interfaces, responds very well compared to the lite model.
  • Fewer GPIO Ports, but I was not utilizing all of them on the Lite.
  • Still lacks IVS setup on WebUI for some dumb reason, its enabled on OSD and SmartPSS.. OSD Gives you more options.
I applied the firmware from this page as instructed and got English/Spanish/French w/NTSC: USA/NVR/Pro/DHI NVR52A16 16P 4KS2 - Dahua Wiki

Features:
  • Up to 16/32 channel IPC input

This is what Ive got loaded up now, if you got something that enable the IVS menus on the WebUI tha'd be badass.. I can see the code for IVS is in the html, its just not being displayed.

I found the vehicle firmware, but it was so much larger than the normal firmware and I suspected it only worked with very specific cameras I hesitated to applying it.

Mine's worked great so far..only minor issue was the mouse started double clicking after 2 months, which was the devil with passwords, replaced it and works fine since then.

yep, copy/paste :P

So, on the Empire AliExpress site they have listed a NVR5216-8p-4KS2 model. Is this the same as the 16P model, just with fewer ports? And, is this an International model that can be had with a US plug? I really just want the NVR5216-4KS2 with any POE ports in it, but these seem to be really hard to find.
Nvr5216-8p-4ks2 has 8 ports Poe. NVR5 means series 5, the 52 means series support 2hdd. 16 means 16ch, 8p means 8 ports Poe. So if you just need nvr without Poe. So the model is nvr5216-4ks2. We put exactly plug for the destination country use, US plug no problem. US, British,EU, AU plug these are the world's most common using plug.

Eagerly waiting to see what else gets posted on the review. Just paid for the non-poe version of this NVR a few days ago.

possible? eh; well leme put it this way.. thats a fucking horrible idea.

thx nayr alredy tried with few surge but didn't help
yes will be 12v battery power +inverter 220v ,during working hours 7-17 will charge batteries and unplug after night ,because my work place is out of town ..

Wireless dont have the required throughput to operate a NVR; and I have the knowledge to knock any wireless device off the network and prevent it from reconnecting while my mobile device is within range.. it has no place in video surveillance.

hook it up with a fiber optic cable if you want to isolate it electronically from the network, need something like these: Amazon.com: TP-Link Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter, Up to 1000Mbps RJ45 to 1000M Single-Mode SC Fiber (MC210CS): Electronics

You should also have adequate insurance on your property that should cover electronics lost by lightning
