Dahua NVR4108-p-4ks2 - new install

Hi,

I have previously (2016) undertaken a CCTV install using the vast advice on here opting for the above NVR.
I don't want a dedicated PC with BI or similar more a fit and forget box.
I'm about to commence another one shortly and wonder what benefits, if any an upgrade from this NVR
would provide?

End game is:
initially 3 Cams (5231, 2231 and an old Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I i have lying around)
mobile access (used easy4ip, now renamed, previously)

Final question would be where to source the NVR as the usual ali based providers on here don't do the POE versions which i would prefer. English/US firmware as well.

Thanks, that doesn’t really help. Looking for some more real life insight.

What are people’s view on “dahua franchise store” on Ali- seems to be the most respectable offering. Empiretech doesn’t stock them unless I’m corrected.

I bought NVR4108HS-8P-4KS2 very recently from Empiretech. Empiretech and other shops on Ali sell Dahua and other PoE NVRs. I ordered a cheap one but there are better ones. You can obtain more information and a lower price by contacting Empiretech directly.
