Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Quick question on the NVR5216-16P-4KS2E. When the spec sheets mention only 4ch decoding at 4K the rest would be 1080p is that for playback only ? In other words that the NVR CAN handle all 16 channels recording 4k but Live Playback is limited to 4 x 4K ? Just wanted to make sure I understood that spec correctly. Thanks

Hi guys,

I've got a NVR5208-8P-4KS2 that works good.

The only thing is, that is really noisy :-(

What do you recommend for silencing it? I would prefer a better fan, but which one?

And another question: where in the GUI (webplugin or SmartPSS) can I tell the NVR to record more than 24 hours (I can only playback the IVS-recordings from midnight to the actual time)?

Best regards and thanks a lot
Mischa

Under playback, select the camera, then, lower left corner, 'Time' field, click on the calendar grid.
Cheers,

Today I opened the case of my 5208 and I found, that it's not the case-fan, that's really noisy, but the fan of the Delta-PSU.

It's a DPS-200PB-185 B with a 40x40x20mm fan, also from Delta Electronics. I can read 0.15A and I guess 12V (model of the fan is E..B0412H...D, can't read all of it because of the metal-grid above).

Can I simply replace this fan? Any recommendations for a replacement-fan?

I always look for Noctua fans when replacing those in NAS boxes, Poe switches etc. great fans, low noise and a variety of sizes however can’t speak to whether you could do the same for the psu

Okay, thanks.

Anyone knows how to replace the fan of my PSU? And which fan to use?

Trying to save up money for the 5216-16P to buy from EmpireCandy. I'm planning on giving my 4216 to my sister and then getting the 5216 for the significantly higher throughput 320Mbps.
