Howdy,
Decided to do some upgrading.
If I use the Dahua NVR5424-24P-4KS2 which has the Dahua H.265+ encoding. Would I hit the Max 320Mbps Incoming Bandwidth if I used all newer style bullets and domes? at max res? (20 3mp + 4mp cams now, maybe 24 shortly)
OR, go to 2MP starlight (Starvis)
(IPC-HDBW5231R-Z has the new H.265+ support)
(IPC-HFW5231E-Z has the new H.265+ support)
Not that I was having issues, but with the new H.265+ encoding, you obviously need the tech on both sides. (NVR and cameras
But, I am upgrading everything.
All existing wires are home runs with Cat 6 - good
Most of the cams are 3mp, and 4mp. I really like what the starlight sensor has to offer. Do you think I would loose much by going to all 2mp cams?
OR, should I look at other higher MP cams which have the newer H.265+ support? Or, NAH, don't bother with it? :)

Consider turret cameras instead of the bullets and domes unless you need the alarm/audio out features. You will not notice any change going from 3mp to 2mp (the extra res went to the vertical fov) and only a small imperceptible difference from 4mp to 2mp..

Thanks Fenderman.
Way to many camera choices. I am reading up on the turret IPC-HDW5231R-ZE. I see where the turret is the better method for lens and IR placement.
