Dahua recommendations for new construction

Looking for a solution to for a small/medium 1700 sq ft house on a busy city street. Alerts and monitoring are important, but do not need license plate recognition or full color at night (since I don't have any artificial light sources other then a few wall lights). I did a bit more research and I don't think I am savy enough for a Blue Iris / PC setup and config. And I belive that Dahua has an app that I can get alerts (DMSS) so that is nice.

16 channel DVR and 8 cameras seem like a good start. I found a few bundles on B&H Photo Video, but would love a better alternative if you can suggest some.

Ok!! Thanks all! I bit the bullet (get it??) and got 7 5442 Turrets and 2 refurb IPC-Color4K-X 2.8m. (refub pending confirmation from u/EMPIRETECANDY).
For the DVR, what should I look out for? Thanks for the recommendation u/looney2ns! I'll probably go for that but just want to know a bit more of why it is a good choice for me.
