Agree with the advice of staying away from domes, and no that's no a PTZ. Just a variable focus camera.

Samples Day and Night- the sidewalk is about 30 ft from the camera and the center of the circle is 60ft. Very little if any zoom used so guess about 3-4mm
The 8232 series which is the Ultra series big brother to this cam performs even better at night.
