Dahua Video (*.DAV) Playback in Mac OSX

I know a software called Avdshare Video Converter which can directly play DAV files on Mac or Windows computer or convert DAV to other video format like MP4, AVI, WMV etc to play on popular media player or devices

yeah for $40 cash money.. screw that nonsense.. since this is your first post.. are you spamming us? anything you should disclose? like being an employee of that company?

Re: Dahua OSX Software Bundle (*.DAV playback on Mac OSX)

Hi Nayr,

Does SmartPSS run on El Capital 10.11.6 ? I get an unidentified developer when I try to install and or open the SmartPSS.10

dunno havent tried, but you'll need to open controll panel, security and say open anyhow.

updated configtool from v3.10.0 to v4.01.0

I have a dedicated display on my Mac just for SmartPSS, so its not 'casual'.. its always on.. only Chrome gets more real-estate and used more than SmartPSS on my tri-display workstation.

I also have a Dahua 4216-4k nvr, and combined they are quite sweet.. playback of video could not be easier or quicker, many times I see something happen.. then right click and hit instant replay, then I can fast-forward/rewind/pause whatever crazy shit I just saw.

you can also set it up to give audible alerts to alarms/events.

Nayr - I'd love to have the Smart PSS on my Mac running in the background but it seems to eat up CPU (after a while the fan turns on to cool the processor). Is there a way to set it up whereby it doesn't use a bunch of computer CPU?

Thanks in advance and thanks for finding the starlight dahua camera...now aliexpress can ever get anymore in stock! :)

right click and view substream, when your in a grid layout there is no reason to do full resolution.. I also set my substreams to VBR and that helps alot too.

IF any one has trouble getting all their cameras to load in this new OSX app, right click on the NVR and show "all channels" instead of the default" show binding channels". I spent hours trying to figure that out today hunting and pecking. Photo attached.

members of our forum beware, the previous post was SPAM (now deleted) and I would not be surprised if the software he is recommended is riddled with malware.. These assholes are mad that this thread is the #1 search results on google now and nobody is paying for there shit software.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD, INSTALL OR PAY FOR UFUSoft DAV Converter for Mac

There are plenty of FREE Tools that are trustworthy, unlike these clowns!

no, use scroll to zoom

Ah.. thanks. What about the stacked timelines when playing back several cameras? And I keep getting these annoying popups on the lower left about insufficient space.
