Did you purchase from a place that recorded your e-mail address and license key (like IPCT) ?
Try e-mailing BI support: support@blueirissoftware.com
Next go-around be sure to record the the license key and keep in a safe place.
BTW, what have you done to "recover" the HDD?
Have you placed on an external USB dock and ran CHKDSK? On a Windows PC that the USB dock is connected to you can run CHKDSK from Windows or from a command prompt (as administrator) as detailed here.
[/QUOTE I did email BI support but no responses yet. I will try the USB dock idea great tip I did try safe booting via USB with no luck but will try this.
Contact support.Hi, I have reinstalled the OS and was hoping to locate the license in my email after, but can't find it anywhere. How do i recover the license ? I have 1st 5 and last 5 digits. The system is in demo mode now and I need to reactivate the license. Thanks.
That would be a maintenance key that they would have sent you. That is not the same key that you use to activate the software. The original first key they sent you is what you have to have. After reading here,.. I thought I'd go checking mine and have noticed something odd; note I updated through Digital River.
I received the license key from them after the last time I renewed - would have applied it at the time.
But looking in Settings of my BI installation, the exposed part of the key, first and last 5 character blocks, do not match.
Should these match? Will the key I have in the email that was sent be ok to use should I need it?
