Its a 2.8mm wide angle version. They are very similar to the hikvision 2432 but only 2mp. vs 3 (2mp is actually better for night vision)..in fact i believe these are made by hikvision...the lens, pir sensor, ir led and ports on the back line up exactly with the 2432 and i found someone online who says it even works with ivms 4200.....not sure about firmware updates though...i was able to use this coupon code 0210WHPUS99 to get 30 off, so it was 70...but it doesnt seem to work anymore...

You can see in the video that it uses hikvisions SADP and the firmware is hikvision based.

Pretty big necro here, but I just got some of these. It shipped with V5.2.0 build 141031 as the firmware. Wondering if any had tried to upgrade with the latest from Hik.

Alternatively, is there really any compelling reason to upgrade the firmware ?

I have one of these based on this very post by @fenderman and have not yet had a reason to update the firmware on mine. I don't foresee myself doing one either since there isn't anything I personally gain from it while using BI for most of the features I need.
