Decipher the NVR model number

Hello.

I purchased an NVR some years ago and I can't be sure if this NVR is a hacked CH NVR or an international version.

Is there a sure fire way of determining this based on the serial number?

I want to upgrade the NVR to the latest firmware to get the most of a new camera I have bought, which is an upgradable international version. Obviously I don't want to brick the NVR.

DS-7608NI-E2 (non-POE)
SN:540384137
I can get the firmware version and system information tonight.

I'm 90% sure this is an international version based on the sticker and the english GUI. But you never know if those stickers are reliable (easy to doctor it)

The 'NI' in the model number does suggest this. Though the EN menus are not a guarantee.
