Hi guys having the same issue, there are two variants of the PTZ, HNR and HNR-G, does one work and the either not?

Hello guys, I have been reading a lot here lately and have the same camera in question. Just to try and help others, I found that the PTZ does not want to work if the camera is also added to my NVR.

It would work sometimes, but then just stop moving, but would show detection and that it was calling for a track. It doesn't matter what settings I tried on the NVR. I would get it to work and record, but then it would quit. For instance, if I changed the tracking time via IE on the WEBGUI. I finally, just removed it from the NVR and reset to factory, then set it up web without the NVR and it works well like that. I have the Amcrest 5216E.

I need to go back and try some other configs with the NVR as I want to have static cams trigger the PTZ and did have that working for a time, but changing one thing or another would always break the tracking. I have something new on the works coming soon to try, but in the mean time, I will continue to tweak and test.

Being new to PTZ and having limites NVR time (had statics for 8 years, but there's not much to that. I have one key point for new users, do NOT make more than one change at a time if you are having trouble. Go to the basic config and change one thing at a time. Use the search function here, there is some great info. For instance, I could not change the track time or from 15s or it would stop tracking and a refresh would default it back to 15s, but broke tracking. Reading here that IE was a better option (was using Firefox and chrome neither worked right) I used IE and could change the track time. Cool!

My take aways, be prepared to spend some hours getting to know the interactions in your system, read everything you can get you hands on and make minimal changes at one time. If you are not prepaired to spend hours day or even months tweaking and learning, then hire someone to do it for you if you can afford it. I LOVE to learn new tech, so for me, this is like Christmas day. Don't get me wrong, it can be frustrating as hell, but when you start to make headway, there's no feeling like having done it yourself.

BY the way, my name is Jim and I want to thank everyone here for the gracious donation of your time. Good luck and be patient!

J

Hello Ed,

I am from Holland too I have the same problems with a new year old model. Do you have already a solution? My firmware is:
Systeem Versie 2.800.0000000.19.R, Build Date: 2019-09-02
PTZ-versie2.401.0000000.41.RHNZ_190712_32701

Is it possible to dump my firmware first before I try to update?

Unfortunately as many of us have stated even in the review I mentioned this, the 49225 changed by Dahua during its first 6 months. The first batches included auto tracking built in natively. The later batches had auto tracking disabled by Dahua directly at manufacturing and cannot be re-enabled by standard branch FW. The only way to re-enable as I and others mentioned is to use the customer branch of FW but this is only available from the dealer you purchased the camera from, is not meant to be shared openly according to Dahua and therefore it is the dealer you have to go back to.

As @EMPIRETECANDY mentioned above, if you purchased from him, he could potentially assist in providing the FW. You mentioned you are in Holland, have you asked your dealer if they can provide to you ?
