The issue seems to come and go on my system. I do keep BI up to date. As of right now my temp folder is empty.. will check again in a couple of days and report back.

Still an issue here on the latest version of BI (5.5.4.0 x64). I now have 74,458 files in there now from the last 7 days alone.

In your shoes, I would write BI Support. That way, there's no guessing as to what's going on and how to resolve it.
Yeah, as mentioned in a previous post this was already reported to BI and they acknowledged they knew it was an issue, "We are aware of the issue but no info on the root cause or fix. Need to investigate with DeepStack."

I'll ping them again on it.

Another 74k files in the last few days here.. Today I just created a scheduled task that purges the folder every 15 minutes. Not ideal but it'll help until BI fixes the issue.

What version of DeepStack are you using, it might be a DeepStack issue. The current version is DeepStack 2021.09.1
I was previously running 2021.02.01. I updated to 2021.09.01 about 48 hours ago, and so far so good - no temp files yet. This issue seems to come and go in my case, so I'll keep an eye on it. Hopefully 2021.09.01 fixed this. Can't seem to find a changelog for Deepstack.

After updating Deepstack to 2021.09.01 about 2 weeks ago, I have not had this issue occur. I'm a bit hesitant to consider it "fixed" because there have previously been times when I didn't experience the issue for several days, but at this point its been just over 2 weeks now without issue.

Before the end of this month there is going to be a new release of DeepStack, below is some of the recent activates.

After a couple months without issue, the temp files are now accumulating again. had 9200 temp files accumulated in the last 24 hrs - this was using deepstack 2021.09.01. I just updated to the latest deepstack (2022.01.01) along with the latest BI update and will keep an eye on it.

I'm seeing this issue, too. 90000 files in just a couple weeks.

happened to notice my C drive was filling up, dug through file explorer and found 200K+ files in c:\users\<name>\AppData\Local\Temp\DeepStack taking up about 76GB.

deleted everything in that folder. its refilling about 20 files a minute....

I ended up uninstalling deepstack, deleting everything out of that folder, reinstall newest version of deepstack and update BI to the latest version, (5.5.6.1 ) and so far so good. Folder is staying clean.

Reinstalling the latest version of Deepstack seems to have fixed it for me, too.
