Can't see this specific deal at $510. Would this pc be good for a triple monitor setup as well? Can you link that specific deal please. Thanks

These deals go quick - the $510 unit is already sold out.

I do see some $581 units there if you don't mine the SFF case. I saw a unit for $489 last week.

Go here and during checkout apply the 30%OptiPDT code. The unit will show $829 until you apply the code.

You need to move fast, these don't last on the outlet site.

This morning... $517 with the above coupon code!

These are great deals, shame the UK dell outlet doesn't seem to have anything near this good - way more expensive and only i5s!

The Optiplex 9020 does not have a HDM1 port. Would this be a good unit.

XPS 8900
  • Processor: Intel Core 6th Generation i7-6700 Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.0 GHz)
  • Windows 10 Home 64bit English
  • 1 TB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
  • 8GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz
  • 16X DVD + RW Drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB DDR3
  • Black
  • Dell Outlet XPS 8900
  • $749.00

The 9020 has dual display ports which are better than hdmi. All you need is a displayport to hdmi/dvi adapter.
The new optiplex 5040/7040 skylake units have the same setup.
If you are willing to spend 749, then pay the extra 100 and get this with a three year onsite warranty. Also for now, blue iris only supports intel hardware acceleration so you will benefit from lower power consumption of the intel graphics (though some users report being able to use both intel and nvidia simultaneously I think it may vary by motherboard so at this time getting a machine with intel graphics is the smarter option)

Hi fenderman, that XPS 8900 was a "scratch & dent" unit for $749 before the 30% discount. However that's already gone. I also found out that there is some speed issue with the PCIe x4 M.2 slot. I'll abandon the idea of getting the XPS 8900 and focus on getting an Optiplex 9020. Thank you.
