DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

I recently noticed in the DMSS app that my doorbell cameras had a firmware update pending. The new firmware was Eng_N_V1.000.020000000.7.R.20220615 and the release notes said:

After upgrading, I noticed that button press events were no longer being sent to Home Assistant using the Dahua integration, in fact no events were being sent over at all. When I tried loading the HTTP API manually in a browser I got:

So apparently Dahua decided that a working HTTP API, and the associated event handling is a "bug" and removed it.

I have since downgraded using firmeare files from Index of /images/Files/Firmware
and downgraded to DH_IPC-WDB-Joule_Eng_N_CA_V1.000.0000000.0.R.211015.bin using the SmartPSS Windows application
Though they also have DH_IPC-WDB-Joule_Eng_N_nonCA_V1.000.0000000.0.R.211015.bin which would probably work as well (I chose CA which I think is for Canada where I live?)
After the downgrade everything works properly again.

I submitted a ticket to Dahua USA, however I'm not optimistic they'll work on fixing this.
Apologies, but I got this way too late - can you possibly send me a copy of this binary? I tried the wayback machine and found the page where they initially listed this binary, but the wayback machine didn't archive the file itself, only the page.
Not sure if this is the same symptom, but before I upgraded, someone would come to my door and press the button. The DMSS app would pop up an alert with "Answer/Ignore", and upon pressing "Answer", I could talk to to the person at the door.

After upgrading, when I press "Answer", it shows "Connecting..." then "Connection failed". Is that what you are experiencing?

Please, if you wouldn't mind, would you please give me the original DH_IPC-WDB-Joule_Eng_N_CA_V1.000.0000000.0.R.211015.bin if you still have it?

Torin...

I do not still have it. Someone linked something in Post 8, which may be helpful?

No, that's the non CA version unfortunately.

Does it actually matter? I used the CA version, but I don't see why it would matter.
Most likely not, I don't know for sure but most likely the regional versions differ in WLAN power levels. NA/Canada regulations allow for much higher power levels than Europe.

I don't even know if CA stood for Canada versus California. And the fact that there were only two versions one with CA at the end and one without, would make me assume that the other one was US rather than Europe as Canada is a tiny market by comparison to the US so it wouldn't make sense to call it out if you meant North America.
