Exactly!!!!

It is a sarcastic comment given the NOOBies that come here and are adamant that they do not want Chinese cameras because Hik and Dahua are banned and can be hacked and blah, blah, blah, and they want NDAA compliant cameras....which do not solve the fundamental problem to begin with - keep cameras off the internet!

Axis is just as possible as being hacked as anyone else.

Well, we don't know what going on yet plus havking their servers doesn't mean the cameras are hacked.

Yeah they have never been hacked....

And the wording of their notice implies something...intrusion sounds like a hack to me....

We are experiencing an IT-related intrusion. For troubleshooting purposes, we have actively disabled external services. Some have already been restarted and we will continue to do so step by step. On this page we show updated information about how our services are affected. For other questions, we refer to your regular Axis contact person via telephone. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thats from June btw

Yeah, I know, but it shows they are just as vulnerable of being hacked as the next one. And that was within the past year, which is still kinda recent.

Just pointing out they are not as immune and have a thread to point to with the next NOOB that comes along.

You would be surprised. We have had these discussions here just in the past two weeks (not specifically to Axis), but in general regarding cameras and them accessing the internet.

Word is that Axis lost their encryption keys so all cameras are now considerd hacked. If you got any Axis stock you should consider selling.
Edit, seem to be fully owned bya Canon since 2018.

Hah, or just block them (and any other cam) from the internet as has been recommended about 2 million times now on this site...
