Hi,
I've got a couple Hikvision DS-7332HGHIs at work.
We'd been using 3.1.8 HC 180130 which we are used to.
I tried to update one of them (our backup) to 4.2 and accidentally bricked the device, so I restored it using TFTP and Baseline Firmware_DVR(SH series)_ML_3.3.4_170220
What's the difference between the ML and HC firmware? The new one looks kinda cool, but also seems like it might be missing some features?
3.1.8 never said "embedded net dvr" - is that some kind of offshoot? Is the older firmware like a full-version and the newer firmware slimmed down?
If anyone has a good idea what the differences are between these I'd love to know before considering the upgrade for our production DVR. Thanks
Edit: I googled a bit and found HC = Hikconnect and ML = Multi-language. Still not sure what's up with the "embedded net dvr" or totally different menu structure, though.
