Hi,

I'm planning to install a number of camera's outside at my property. After reading a lot here I decided to go for the 2MP Starlight series in a VariFocal Dome setup.
While looking at the Empire Technology AliExpress shop I found two possible suspects:
IPC-HDBW5231E-Z: Exmor sensor, 3 IR leds, 181 USD
IPC-HDBW5231R-Z: Starvis sensor, 2 IR leds, 170 USD
Apart from the different sensor, number of IR leds and price. I can't find any difference.

Which of the two should I choose? Why?

Going off of @giomania's cosmetic comment, check out the dimensions:
E-Z: 159.1mm×117.9mm (6.26”×4.64”); 0.89kg (1.96lb)
R-Z: 122mm×88.9mm (4.8”×3.5”); 0.5kg (1.1lb)

See @giomania's Cliff Notes on the dome form-factor. Most folks here will shy away from using them outdoors as they usually require more maintenance vs. the turret form factor. This was a hard sell for me -- I much prefer the look of domes vs. turrets/bullets. But I can say that I've spent more time cleaning my one dome camera vs. the combined time I've spent cleaning my six turret cameras.
