Disk allocation/used

Greetings,
I have a 500gb hd. I have allocated 400gb
to "New" folder. Blue iris shows 97% used by recordings although when I check the size of the folder where clips are saved it is 55gb. How is this calculated ?

provide a screen shot of the blue Iris status clip storage screen.

Is the space screen shot for UI3, the remote (PC,apple) app or the PC Blue Iris program ?
