DMSS V1.99.811 no option to disable noise reduction anymore

For anyone having this issue, I found a fix.

Under audio, my encode mode was AAC and my sampling frequency was 32000. It worked fine this way for years in DMSS until a few updates ago. If you set the sampling frequency to 64000, it fixes the problem.

So set the following under audio in the cameras web interface:

encode mode to AAC

Sampling frequency to 64000

And needless to say, make sure noise filter is disabled.

Lol that has nothing to do with NR inside the App, the App or Noise Filter or whatever. Nor its a fix for a non existing problem.

Like steve already said, its basic knowledge that AAC 64000 give you the best and clearest audio

in case of AAC - 32000 / 64000 means not sampling frequency (because it is always 16 bit 44.1 or 48kHz) but how much bandwidth (32 / 64 kbit/s) is for compressed audio. Today streaming apps (Apple music / Spotify etc) are using usually 128 kbit/s for mobile and 256-320 kbit/s for premium audio (using AAC compression!) - so 32 kbit/s is too low...

Like I said, it was fine for years until a few updates ago. Just finished changing the settings in all the cams and it works great. The sound is once again clear.

1. if you want good audio, login to camera web service, go to encoding -> audio and change audio encoding to AAC.. G.711A provides audio a old analog / 2G GSM quality (8000 samples means max frequency at 4KHz), AAC provides audio at DVD quality (AAC is a standard from DVD :)..

2. if you camera have Audio Noise filtering and You don't like it, go to camera web service and disable it.. it's simply.. You don't need for that DMSS settings..
Hi,

I have found your post after the only thing bothering me is the poor audio quality. I cannot login to web app as the video install guy never gave me those details. He wants to charge a call out fee to set this up for me.. I only have access to the DMSS app and I have the NVR but I am unsure what the password is, I think I remember the pattern.

How You log in DMSS?
If in device login properties You have admin account, then password used in DMSS should work over web to NVR and camera pages...
Even if You have different login in DMSS, this login should work on NVR where You can change audio codec on cameras..

No.. in device (NVR) properties You entered login/password how to login to NVR..
And this data works on NVR page..

For IP You must check on Your router what IP was given for NVR.
Or use Dahua config tool for that (you can find it on dahua website).

I’m looking for this. I can’t see camera web service?

AAC should work in DMSS..
Probably You changed something more..

ps. be aware you change audio settings for main and separate for secondary stream. Normally I use AAC only for main stream, on secondary I put default G.711 because of smaller used bandwidth.

I didn’t change anything else. I can still view it on the laptop but not via DMSS.

Steps I had done.

I didn’t have access to web interface so I reset the password. Now I can login to web interface.

I also reset my DMSS password as I thought it needed to be the same as the one I had logged in on so I have a feeling it’s looking for the new password but the error is not intuitive
