Do Lechange (Dahua) cameras require the NVR to work?

I have some Lechange NK168P083-IPC cameras that came in an NVR combo. Do these cameras only work through the NVR or can be they used with blue iris?

If they are indeed IP cameras, then they should work.

Are they plugged in to PoE ports in the NVR itself?
If so - they use that connection for power as well as data, so you'd need a PoE switch to connect and power the cameras when not connected to the NVR.

I went through the awkward process of using the dahua config tool to find the camera and reassign the IP address. It's a done deal.
