DS-2CD2035 - CH version - recover from failed firmware update

Hello Guys,

I was hoping one of you Hikvision gurus might be able to help me. I´m afraid I might have bricked one of my cameras.

I was trying to update my DS-2CD2035 (CH in the SN so a chinese version) as I had some issues with. It was on 5.3.6 (english GUI) before.

I used the IPC_G0_CN_STD_5.4.41_170710 image through TFTP but all I get is:

[2020-06-17 11:10:48] Connect client[192.0.0.64] success
[2020-06-17 11:10:48] Start file[C:\Users\XYZ\Desktop\1\digicap.dav] transmitting

The boot/update process seems stuck.
Its not the TFTPD. Its working fine. I was able to do this before, countless times. The image itself is intact. I tested this as well.
I can still ping the camera on 192.0.0.64 but i can´t telnet in.

If anyone has some good ideas or suggestions I would appreciate it very much.

And a quick update already.
5 minutes after I posted this the camera came back up.
Its now on 5.4.41 but unfortunately, as expected, in chinese.
Is there any way I can get it back to english and maybe even to a newer version that this?

Unfortunately, that would need 'Hacked to English' modded firmware.
I suspect with that model and the original 5.3.6 it had the interesting 'Dieter and Fiona' modded firmware installed.
