I've got a DS-7300 NVR with 22 cameras connected via BNC. I have a few IP DS-2CDs that I'm trying to connect, and I can't figure this out. I started with one.

DS-2 is connected to luxul POE port which is connected to same router as NVR. Subnet is same. SADP shows ACTIVE but when I try and view via NVR web GUI or local, it says cannot connect/live feed failed (OFFLINE PARAMETER) or NO LINK. I've downgraded quality to 720P, 14 FPS, etc. Still nothing. I can log in to camera via web and view not a problem, but can't seem to figure out how to link the two.

Does the NVR configuration require port, protocol and IP address?
I'd expect port to be 8000, protocol to be Hikvision.
Or port=80, protocol=ONVIF as a fallback test.
What have you tried?

Does the DVR have a limit to the total number / mix of cameras that limits the ability to add the IP camera?
You can tell I'm not familiar with that model ...

I figured it out and got them all working! The trick is connecting the cameras via ONVIF rather than Hikvision protocol. There is a series of directions that I can write up when I have more time. Or PM me if I forget to do that!
