I have a DS-2CD2442FWD-IW and want Update the Firmware.
This Camera I have buy at a Shop in Hongkong.
Can I use any Update Firmware Example this one: DOWNLOAD EU PORTAL (hikvisioneurope.com) to Flash it or will brick this the Camera?

And what version of firmware is currently installed?

Bringing this one back from the dead to answer the poster's question for future reference. The answer is Yes, you can upgrade using the file from Europe on the Chinesse Cube camera...see attached

The serial number shows it's World region, not Chinese.
