DS-2CD2532F-IS lots of static when hooked up to speakers

I cut the ends off of a 3.5mm connector and tapped it onto the I/O connection on the camera. I'm able to get audio to output to the speaker but in order to hear anything I have to crank the volume of the speakers up pretty high, this result to a lot of static. This is coming from a very quality studio speakers. I can't imagine how it would sound on a tiny speaker/amp.

Audio encloding G.711ulaw create less static than g.711alaw

whatever those mean. Has anyone gotten their audio output to be satisfaction?

Are your speakers powered by a built in amp?

just wanted to update this in case it can help someone else down the road...

Isolate the camera from the Cisco POE switch that's power all the other cameras on it's own POE injector reduced at least 90% of the static.
