There is no reason they couldn't simply allow downgrade - though you might have to config reset.
Or minisys changes outlined in my first reply (DS-2CD2T35FWD-I5 + 5.6.3_190923 = broken basic motion sensing) as ITuneDvr also rightly says. Then downgrade is possible.
