I got some DS-2CD3942F-I in Chinese. Anyone know ho to change it to English or connect to my nvr without error? thx
 
Ask your supplier first for the English firmware, once you have the firmware share it. With your build info.
 
no one have this fish eye in English. that's why I ask for help here. can I change the language flag to 2, will the nvr take it?

If the firmware is 5.2.5 or lower yes you can do the mid hack, see the sticky for how to do it.
 
i tried the mtd hack but DS-2CD3942F-I but the menu doesn't show the multiple view options anymore. Could somebody share the original 5.2.1 (Chinese) firmware so that I can TFTP to the original state?
Has someone succeeded to update DS-2CD3942F-I with english menu yet?

Check here for setup video in English. If your camera is Chinese this could be helpful to setup:

If it was just the 'mtd hack' you can simply re-apply the original mtd files to get back to the original state.
