Is it possible to upgrade the firmware using the newer revision which is 'iDS"?

No its entirely different hardware(Platform) Yours is H7, the ids one is H8, and the G2 version is H11

Oh, that sucks...
I was hoping to be able to get a newer firmware on these... Sometimes they read plates with false-positives ... like T082 (accurate) one time and TT082 (gets a 2nd T from somewhere, god only knows where) another time.. (happens on PL plates mostly)
