What's the device status?

If the device is 'bricked' - ie no longer boots properly, the best method to re-apply the firmware is to connect to the serial console.
This is available via a 4-pin connector on the main board.

To do this you need :
A 4-pin 1.5mm JST ZH wired connector, usually sold in 10-packs.
A USB to serial TTL adaptor, such as a PL2303TA-based device.

Both widely available on eBay etc at low cost.

Does that model have a DB9 RS232 connector on the back panel?
If so, you'll need an RS232 to USB adaptor with a null modem connection.

These are good and clear images.

Ok, so no DB9 connector.
Stick with the USB to serial TTL adaptor and the JST ZH wired connector.

Make sure that the video is set to "auto connect". I had same problem when I changed video connection setting before allowing "auto connect". took about 3 minutes and 2 reboots (on both ends-NVR, monitor).
