something is definitely wrong with it...i just went to try to reset the password today and the start time hasnt changed.

That's odd. Assuming it's not the 'start of time' date, 1970 or so.
Just a stray thought - as the 3.4.91 firmware has the various self-service password reset facilities - presumably you haven't created the 'Security questions Q&A' and forgotten you've done it? The 'Forgot password' link on the web GUI logon page.
