DVR monitor blanks out

Equipment: DVR Speco NRP (16) : IP camera O3VFBM (only one camera at this time)

Local monitor blanks out for about 1 second when hard drive starts to record motion, and again when motion stops at that point recorder enters post recording (10 seconds).
Monitor connected to VGA output.
Record and monitor match the resolution 1920 x 1080
This does not happen when viewing camera with Speco Blue app.
Does not show up when playing back video
Does not happen when manual record is activated.
Seems to be connected to pre and post recording.
Camera is connected to PoE port #1.

Does anyone have a fix / idea concerning this issue?
Is this something that I have to live with / IP system quirks?

This is not an ip system quirk. This is a defective NVR. Try the hdmi output.
