I would like to install 4 e POE cameras around my house, they are 250', 550',150', and 80' runs. So do I need to use a ePOE switch? I would like to use the Dahua NVR5208-4ks2 which is non POE. Thanks

ePoE is a marketing term. It’s not a standard.

So long as the camera conforms to 802.3af then ANY standard PoE switch will work to 100M.

Buy at least one run is 170 meters, so what do I use?

I missed the 550’ run when I read your OP.

I can’t help you with the NVR since I don’t use the prebuilt ones. If the cameras support the Dahua “ePoE” then I think you just need a PoE switch to take advantage of that ability.

What camera?
