I was wondering is the only way to turn off motion detection to either log in through browser and change the schedule of each camera individually or going to nvr and changing the schedule from there or turning the whole system off?
The reason why I'm asking this is because we use the system in garage. People come and go throughout the day, basically we can't have a specific schedule. But it would be nice to be able to turn off the motion detection when "friendly" people are present. When leaving, it would be nice to be able to turn on the system as easily.
Have I missed some obvious setting? If not, I guess the system sucks a bit. If I review every two weeks who has been walking in certain areas (for example side doors, yard) it sucks if I have to go through mostly just clips where there are friendly people. Furthermore, if there was a easy way to turn off the cameras when friendly people are present, it would help a lot to discover potentially unfriendly people (if certain car keeps comes every now and then to check out the place) or if unfriendly people try to break in, but at the time they can't be recognized, it would be good to check out previous recordings fast if there has been similar types of people checking out the place earlier (maybe that recording could provide valuable information). But if the hdd is mostly full of friendly people, this will not be fast and it will limit the capacity.
I hope shutting down the NVR is not the only option. Our NVR is located in a place with not so easy access.
Could alarm input be used somehow? Most of my cameras have it.
