Email Bug fixed Firmware for IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_Eng_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000008.0.R.190619.zip

Yesterday I updated firmware to this firmware to V2.800.0000008.0.R.190619 on a Z12E.
All went smoothly, however I am having severe focus issues.
Seems I am unable to revert back to older firmware V2.640.0000002.0.R.180523 to address this issue.

(left) The focus value at this zoom level in the new firmware is around ~540 . (right) The older firmware focus would have been around 320. New F/w seem way out.

The usual zoom level is around 80% for this camera. The zoom level depicted is much higher, but was never an issue with previous firmware. I hope there is an easy fix, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

**EDIT** Just found some notes on PC about this camera. Focus at higher zoom levels have always been an issue on this particular camera. Focus values are correct up to 80% zoom. Focus values in the firmware from 80-100% have always been way off.

Forgot to post, I updated all 6 of my 5231-ze cams last week without any issues. One of them for some reason went out of focus after the update but a quick zoom in and back out again fixed that.

Anybody noticed a slight change in brightness/contrast/colour? My car appeared bluer before the upgrade but couldn’t say for sure

The picture from my IPC-HDW5831R-ZE went too dark and out of focus after the upgrade. I've also found that the BLC mode, IRIS and 3D NR were turned off as well both Sharpness and Gamma settings were set to zero after the first reboot.
I had to reset the image settings and run the auto focus, but all seems good after the calibration from the NVR. Interesting enough, but none of my IPC-HDW4431EM-ASE suffered from this...

Upgrade went smoothly on my five IPC-HDW5231R-ZE. My three IPC-HDBW4231F-AS needed WDR reset for the Day profile, the upgrade reset it to "OFF".

I found personally that it maintained all my settings. I had tried enabling WDR on one of my cams and that was there after the upgrade. But I ended up disabling it as it made the image fluoresce too much which made it look unnatural. Sharpe’s is set to 55 on all my cams and that setting was also maintained.

Yes... a little goes a long way with WDR. I use 15 on some and 20 on others.

Hey Andy,

After the firmware upgrade, IA stopped working. When I try to change any settings related to that I get the "No operation authority!" error message and nothing gets saved.
Do you or anyone else have a fix for this?

Thanks,
Bogdan

Bogdan, there have been a few cases of things acting weird after a firmware update. The usual fix is to export the config of the camera, reset the camera (through the web interface), then try to reimport the settings. If the problem persists, reset the camera again and try setting up manually. IIRC, those two steps (usually just #1) have fixed the issues.

I did a factory reset and reconfigured everything back the way it was and I had the same problem but during troubleshooting, I found that this fails I have Smart Codec enabled. If I turn it off everything works as expected.
I don't mind leaving this off but it's something that it broke with this new firmware.

Thanks

Thanks for the update. There are some features (like IVS) that haven't worked with Smart Code enabled, presumably because the two require more processing power than the camera has.

Thanks Andy! (EMPIRETECANDY) Nice updates.
I used a USB thumb drive to directly upgrade my DHI-NVR5216-4KS2 from DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V3_215_0000001_0_R_20180326 to DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.000.0000000.0.R.20190713 2019-07-13 and it went smoothly without having to do a reset to default or any additional restarts.
Then, from NVR > Camera > Upgrade used "File Upgrade" (thumb drive) to update 12 cameras (one at a time) to DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000008.0.R.190619. (I followed the instruction to turn off recording prior to upgrading.) Again, everything went smoothly for eight IPC-HDW5231R-Z, one IPC-HDBW4231F-AS, and three IPC-HDW4231EM-AS, most from 2.460.0000.15 Build Date 2017-09-07.
The system finally looks mature and is now what I was hoping for when I purchased everything back in early 2017. There is quite a learning curve for the new UI, so looking forward to a new NVR User Manual.
Potentially useful tips:
Smart Search that shows a grid of short clips of IVS rule trips is under AI > IVS
Under PLAYBACK, selecting only IVS lets you play only the action

Uggh. Did the upgrade and now can't hit the camera at it's old IP. It must have reset the IP. My cameras are all on their own network of 192.168.254.X instead of 192.168.1.X. Now I need to figure out how to get to it...

EDIT: Never mind. After a couple more minutes it came back up.

Yep, the wait while the camera reboots had me worried too.

Tested General_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_Eng_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000008.0.R.190619.bin on a IPC-HDBW4239R-ASE, gmail works again and no problems found.
Im not sure but i think im missing my device model information under information/verion but that might be my imagination..
