In 2023, we will make more setting guide video for newbie, sometimes a small trick will make them big trouble to start the device. So we decide to make some basic setting videos for the newbies. Will add more later when we do more. We support @jmcu some fund and he made this great video, thanks to him!

We now also put the firmware all to one file, this would be easier for customer to find the FW.

Any idea when 5842 series will get web 5.0? It is tough to type camera pwd manually every time.

The latest firmware which was released around aug 23, 2022 for 5442 and than told the same firmware will work for 5842.

Thanks. 1 side it is better to have complex password but pain point is typing them manually.

Using a password manager solves this.

Web5.0 doesn't change anything about the need to type in passwords.

Yes I do use the password manager to auto fill in, which works on the 1st attempt, but on 2nd attempt you can not do the auto fill again. You have to type the password again.

Just got a 5842 this week, planning on ordering a NVR and sundries today. I haven't even powered up our 5842 as of yet.

Curious if this has been resolved as of yet.

I have 5842, pwd issue is not resolved yet. I believe same issue exist on 5442
