Empiretech PTZ4K45X-AI settings

I searched, and there is some mention of this camera, but I don't see many discussing the settings, and I'm curious if it would be any different from other PTZ cameras. I've more or less started out with the same settings that I have on the PTZ5A4K-25X... but results are not the same.

The first thing I notice in BI is the preview image (not sure of the technical term for that image when viewing all the cameras on the same screen) has jagged edges... very noticeable in the fence.

However, when viewing it full screen or even in the small image screen when connected to the camera via its IP address, the image looks good.

From BI "All Cameras" screen (home page)...

That is simply an effect one gets based on straight lines at the resolution and size of the image on the screen.

We have many posts over the years with similar questions and almost every situation it is like this with a fence. But it can be seen with brick walls and house siding as well.

I can do that with my neighbors fence based on the size I make the image on the screen.

You can mitigate it some by changing the size of the image on the screen, changing the resolution of the camera stream, and lowering sharpness are a few ways.

The 4K cameras on the 1/1.2" sensor seem to be more prone to this phenomena as well.

Okay... yeah... it hasn't done this with the other two cameras looking at this fence.

Is this the substream we are viewing when looking at all cameras on the BI home page?

Yeah that is the substream in multi-camera view.

You could try upping and lowering bitrate as well for substream since it is only happening on it.

I've tried a bunch of settings... jagged edges won't go away on the small screen of BI.

Do these rules look okay?

I added Cross on the Intrusion.

For some reason, it's not tracking any vehicles coming into the driveway, although it follows them going out just fine.

Yeah sometimes you can't completely eliminate it, but maybe when you add another camera, the camera window size will change again and it will be gone LOL.

I am a fan of less is more if you can regarding IVS rules and try not to overlap if possible.

Doesn't mean it won't work if there is overlap, but when things are not working, that is what I look at.

In some instances, especially if you are maxing out the camera processor, if an object triggers multi IVS at the same time it may get stuck for a moment and not trigger.

Try just the intrusion and see what happens.

Cars coming from rigth to left will pass "under" your lines on the road

You are right. I was mainly focus on the entrance and exit area because Sonnie said the ptz is not tracking any vehicles coming into the driveway. Maybe he can draw another line just for that road
and extend the intrusion zone bigger to the tree area for that then.

It has been tracking vehicles on the road both ways, but just not tracking any vehicles coming down the driveway.

I'll try these suggested settings.

I see a blue line, yellow line and a red line. One is tripwire, one is intrusion, what is the other?

It's just tripwire and intrusion. I used different color for the 3 lines because I thought it might be easier for you to see and differentiate them.:)

I'm struggling here. What I see here is not what I see live... why are they not the same?

Here's live... and what I see in BI... it's almost black.

That can happen if you have the profiles messed up, so you are looking at one profile in that setup view, but the video feed is actually the profile it is set to like maybe day profile with an incredibly fast shutter.

I'm on Night profile... and as long as I am looking at the Camera tab... it is bright in BI. I haven't set all the other months yet in the Time Plan Settings, but here is what I am looking at right now.

This is what I see in BI...

Then if I go out of the Camera tab and go to live... it goes back to black, as Amy would sing.

BI updates to black as well.
