Well that is frustrating. I can't view my cameras on the app now as apparently I've exceeded the number of connections.
I have a cheap nvr recording in 1 location and blue iris in another.
Once I had both main and sub streams, each one is considered as a connection. I have copies of the cameras on Blueiris for 24/7 recording.
So that's 4 in total.
Tried using a 2nd ezviz account on the app.
That did not get around it

So got to drop one of the streams

Unless anyone has a suggestion or work around.

Thanks

This is normal - each connection puts a load on the camera. Why dont you using blue iris or the NVR for remote viewing?

As a back up and for my wife to use. Never set up remote access for the old nvr.
Only used blue iris ui3 and the ezviz app which I find user friendly.

Why cant your wife use blue iris? Using ezviz by port forwarding or p2p is a security nightmare.

Yes every user can be set differently.
Thanks I'll look into that.
In regard to the main and sub streams not sure if I even need the main streams. I use the subs for motion detection and even for the recording as the definition is fine for that imo.

Anyway I've removed the sub streams for now. Tested with my ai tool and still get 40-80ms inference speeds.
My mains are downgraded somewhat. Bitrate 1024 at 12-15fps. But a few still HD.

The hidden cams I have recording I changed them to dvr format, watch and write at the same time, never used this before.
Any drawbacks I should be aware of?

You mean the .BVR format?
That is the prefered method.
Yes. Works well. Never had it set before.
Also turned off my old nvr in the other location and improved the streaming. Assume I was stress loading the cams.
Tweaked each sub and main in regards to bitrate and fps etc.
Takes a bit of time to find the sweet spots
