one problem I had with my petporte was a slug managed to creep into the electronics, shorted itself out across the board and scrambled the chip memory. Being wall wart powered it kinda spread the slug out everywhere :-( Did wonder why the boys were sat in the garden that morning waiting for me to open the sliding door. Took ages to get the board cleaned up and then had to herd the kitties up to reprogram them again. All openings are now plugged with blutak so hopefully that won't happen again

The Raid
Preparing for beginning to trap, neuter and release (TNR) the entire Qolony...Rocky and his cohorts perform a textbook raid on the bait while the kittens perform a tactical withdrawal, perchance to fight another day. Hush! I believe I faintly hear those little kittens back at their rally point!

So. When Mrs. Q™ and I first started feeding and watching this feral cat colony I had a few preconceived notions and assumptions which haven't proven valid. I thought that the entire colony would nuzzle up inside the Feral Cat Shelter as if one big happy, warm, furry, purrfeqt cat family. But it turns out that the colony has some relationship issues. Some cats are buddies (Fluff and Bee) while some cats don't like each other too much. There's a bully (Dwight) and there appears to be a whipping boy (Little Tyger). There appears to be relationship issues, and I'm not too certain how it all works. Here's a subtle example of this as Dwight and Little Tyger take shelter from the mid-day storm...I sense some tension in the air.
