Hi,

I have the DS-2CD2347G1-L and the DS-2CD2143G0-I camera. It's running the latest firmware listed on the site, IPC_G1_EN_STD_5.6.3_190923. Is there going to be a newer firmware that doesn't require plugins and or IE11?
 
I'm not home now, however, when in Firefox, I don't get a prompt but the video previews never show in any screen.
 
Firefox 78.7.1esr (64-bit) (Linux) works fine on my 5231's, my 4231, and my 2231 (re-labelled as an X-Security XS-IPDM9852ZWH-2). Neither Chrome, Chromium, nor Brave (Chrome engine) produce video previews on the Main Stream, but they do for Sub Stream 1. Makes no sense, but there it is.

Dahua is finally going to have to fix this. IE is EOL'd. According to @looney2ns, Microsoft will remove IE from MS-Windows 10 later this year. I've found no evidence to corroborate that. Personally, I'd be surprised if they did that this year, but I imagine they will eventually. If MS removes IE from MS-Windows before Dahua fixes their firmware, there is going to be a lot of very, very annoyed customers. (Well, more than there is now.)

In the interim: I have no plans to acquire any additional Dahua cameras. I'll probably pick up a couple inexpensive Reolink IP cams to satisfy my urge to play :)

Every hikvision camera that have Websocket and Websockets is playing under any browser, otherwise youll need plugin. Most new cameras are coming nowdays with websockets.
 
Can anyone provide any insight as to extra features or bugs the last firmware release provides over the older: 5.6.2.190701 Better yet some image captures of the various tabs would offer more insight so I can compare directly. :thumb:

Correct, 5.6.2.190701 is what came with my DS-2CD2347G1-LU and wanted to know the updates this latest IPC_G1_EN_STD_5.6.3_190923 offers. I don't understand why Hikvision and others find it so hard to provide release notes for their firmware. :facepalm:
