I have the Montavue edition of the Dahua IPC-HFW1831E cameras. The factory had me upgrade the firmware because of an issue and now I only get 15FPS on all cameras, and according to the factory they cannot have the frimware set back. Any help would be great.

Have you tried to factory reset ? The 1831E definitely does 25-30fps...mines on the latest 2.8 Dahua firmware and doing 25 fps @4k no problems....if a factory reset doesn't resolve the issue, raise the issue with your supplier...

I did all the upgrades with tech support and now they claim no way to go back. Will a factory reset default firmware back to original or just latest installed

Factory default wont reset anything fw related. Fw has to be loaded onto the cam to affect it. So no it wont, sorry.
hth

Should just default settings, wont mess with the firmwarre. at least thats how real branded Dahua models work

Send them back and purchase from @EMPIRETECANDY he has fw for his cams that are newer than what are usually available from dahua's website. Plus he ships in like 4 days from china .

@Rmac1122, do you till have the firmware provided by montaVue support for that cam? I'd love to take a look at it if you still have the .bin. thanx.
