Forum account contact details - can't update email or name

I need a little help. I've been on this forum for over a year now and decided to update my contact details. When I bring up the contact details page the email address suffix is missing and shows it a "please enter a valid email" message. I enter the full email address and password and nothing happens.

I found the cause of the problem and It's not the forum, it was my Safari browser autofill preference. Safari Preference-> autofill -> user name and password was enabled. I was in the process of documenting the problem when Safari popped up and asked if I wanted to save the password. I disabled the password save preference and now the email address appears as expected.
