They now make a combo fiber/copper cable so that you can use the copper to give POE and send the data over fiber.

They now make a combo fiber/copper cable so that you can use the copper to give POE and send the data over fiber.

Circa 2000 and a few years before I retired, we were pulling in a solid #12 copper wire with green TW insulation into the underground PVC conduits that contained only fiber so we'd have something metallic to allow us to find the conduits with our conduit locator!
