LOL - I think most don't want to push the DB now because many of the consumer doorbells don't record and send an alert unless the button is pushed OR if they do, it is with a paid subscription.

Now of course there are smart DB that will record and alert with motion, but I think between that and being answered over the DB, folks figure if they knock they are not recorded and the person will be more likely to actually open the door and not use the DB intercom LOL.

To add, maybe the couriers don't want a long conversation if the door is answered, haha:

Example:
"Hi, thank you, let me tell you I am so glad they sent me a replacement, the first one I had to send it back, customer service was terrible my first call to them, then by the third call I got someone nice and they sent me this replacement. Even though it is late for my husband's birthday, he already knows what it is. He will be happy since he has been ill lately, he got Covid. Not sure if I have it but I do have a rash that popped up. My cousin got Covid and had a similar rash. Sorry I don't have my mask on, I have seemed to of misplaced it. I would not be able to wear it anyway since all I do is cough a lot lately. My friend also has a bad cough, must be something going around. Can I get you a big glass of tea? It won't be a bother just give me a minute or two and I will be right back."
