Funny / Satire

I started with Ford in 1977, so I have worked on all of the Fords you have listed when they were new, with the exception of the 69 F100.
That 69 F100 is worth more now than when it was new!
Here is my Ford List:

1977 Ford Country Squire station wagon
1981 Ford Thunderbird
1985 Ford Econoline
1992 Lincoln Mark VII LSC
1996 Ford Taurus SEL
1998 Ford F150
1998 Mercury Marquis
2010 Ford Fusion SEL
2013 Ford F150 FX2
2016 Lincoln MKX
2022 Lincoln Nautilus
2022 Ford F150 Lightning

Here's my Ford list. Note the 5th one down with an asterisk. Yep, a '69 Boss 302. Like a big idiot when I came back from overseas and got married, I sold it to a friend. Less than a year later it was found in some north GA woods, stripped and burned, the engine gone. If I live to be a hundred there's no way I could make a more stupid mistake concerning vehicles .

1954 Ford Victoria 2dr. hardtop 239 V8
1964 Ford Fairlane 2dr. hardtop 289 V8
1965 Comet Caliente 2 dr. hardtop built 289 V8
1969 Ford Torino 428 CobraJet
* 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 *
1972 Mercury Comet GT, 302 V8 (ex-wife's)
1974 Ford F-100 360 V8
1975 Ford F-250 390 V8 Camper Special
1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8 (ex-wife's)
1975 Ford E-250 Van 460 V8
1989 Ford Aerostar (ex-wife's)
1996 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6 (ex-wife's)
1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 302 V8
1999 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L V6
2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty 6.4L Powerstroke
2012 Ford Fusion (wife's)
2017 Ford Escape (totalled, hit deer 12/24/19)
2020 Ford Escape (the only Ford that I didn't like)
2018 Ford F-150 FX4 Crew cab 3.8L V6 Ecoboost (I'm driving now)
2020 Ford Fusion Titanium (wife driving now)

Me in '72, less than 4 months after end of active duty. Tag on front said "Strange Brew.":

Now that is a good list...If only Henry could see how big his company got.

First, I'm posting this in this thread because 1) to me it's funny and 2) I didn't know where else to post it. Here goes....

I was looking into a domain registrar for a client when I stumbled onto some of their first page demographics and saw "2SLGBTQ+". Now the "2S" was new to me so I Googled it and I found this. Now if you're sitting down and either want to be lulled off to sleep or can't stand clarity and want to be confused further than you are now, take a read...WARNING: It's a few minutes out of your life you can't ever get back!

That Boss Mustang was an awesome ride! Strange Brew, You must have been an Eric Clapton and Cream fan! lol. :headbang:
The 69 Torino CobraJet was a great car as well. I'm currently helping a buddy restore a 67 Galaxy 500. He retrofitted a 428 Cobra Jet engine and converted it to throttle body fuel injection.

They're....uh.....uh....SPEECHLESS! Love it! :love::love:

But likely followed until they leave by lots of eye-rolling, loud exhaling and a "THHSSK" sound by pressing the tip of the tongue at the back of the front top teeth and lightly sucking....every 5 minutes.

I can hear it now....what's this? :idk:
The wife and I have been to many, many lunch/dinners with our daughters and their kids and even though we are opposed to all the screen time our grandkids are doing, it sure makes for a quiet outing where we can actually talk to Our kids and not babysit theirs LOL
Don't get me wrong we love our grandkids, when they are asleep, hahaha, just kidding..,

Yep...literally wore out my "Disraeli Gears" 8 track tape...
The 69 Torino CobraJet was a great car as well.
It came with a 3.00:1 rear end, I had ordered a 3.50 so it went back to the dealership....they put in a 3.91!
Can you imagine a 428 CJ engine with a C-6 trans on a 3:91? It would get sideways when it'd shift by itself to 2nd gear and then bark the tires when it hit 3rd. Forget about putting your foot in it from a standing start...all it would do was boil the tires.

It had so much torque that, unlike the Boss 302, you couldn't tell the difference off the line and up to 100 if you were by yourself or had 5 other beer-drinkin' buddies in the car. The top end was about 110.

Not sure of the top end of the Boss...The speedo stopped at 120 and I had it pegged in 3rd gear at 6,000 RPM on I-285 below Marietta, GA. I think it's safe to say it would go 140. I disconnected the 6,150 RPM limiter and replaced the stock vacuum advance distributor with an Accel centrifugal, dual point distributor and solid core plug wires, had a guy that raced Z-28's on dirt track set it up on a Sun machine, as a Z-28's valve lift & timing/cam grind VERY close to that of a Boss 302.

I can't help it..I'm a binge YT addict. I won't watch a YT video for days or weeks and then someone sends me one, I watch it then another video in the right column catches my eye and I'm hooked, off and watchin' maybe 5 or 6 more.

Since there were a few mentions of cars in this thread here's a video I found that amazes me what people will do regarding their cars, their maintenance (or lack of) or how stupid they can be. I'll bet those of you that actually worked on cars for a living in a dealership or auto repair shop have seen similar things. Enjoy!
