Uncertain of how much the firmware has been modified.

Swann ( Hikvision OEM ) 5MP IP PoE Bullet or Dome Security Camera 2 Pack - NHD-850 / NHD-851 2 cameras for $149.99
Both are very similar, mostly just the form factor is different.

Product links:

They also have the 4K turret back in stock for $129

The issues I saw with Swann was the fact that if it states on the box that it is compatible with NVRxyz then it ONLY worked with NVRxyz, even the sales people 'ass'umed that an ip camera would work with any of the Swann units, not for me, but a costly mistake for a friend...
Units are rock solid, just wish I could see genuine results of people 'flashing' them to the relevant Hikvision units, then you could resolve a few security issues ;-)

Hi Silas,

A number of SD members using these Swann models have reported flashing some w/Hikvision firmware, and also using the cameras w/ the original Swann firmware with their Hikvision OEM NVRs.

So, for those models posted I think people will have better experiences than with the models your friend may have picked up.

I can confirm the Australian sold Swann NHD-850 are in fact a Hikvision DS-2CD2055FWD-I. 2.9" sensor, 4mm lens, which matches 63degree viewing angle listed on the box.

Detects in SADP, Identical WebUI minus the Hikvision Logo in the top-left corner. Works perfect on Hik NVR!
