Hi all,

Firstly my setup...

PC Hardware
Gigabyte Z370P D3
Intel i5-8400
16GB RAM
Using Intel v25.20.100.6326 (1st Oct 2018) driver for Intel UHD Graphics 630
BlueIris v4.8.2.5 x64

Camera - Hikvision DS-2CD2335FWD-I
Video/Audio -> Video:
Stream Type: main Stream
Res: 2048*1536
Bitrate Type: Variable
Video Quality: Highest
Frame rate: 15
Max BitRate: 16384
Video Encoding: H.264
H.264+: OFF
iFrame Interval: 30
SVC: OFF
Smoothing: 50

BlueIris Camera setting:
Max rate: 15.00fps
HA decode: Intel
GPU: any
Receive Buffer (MB): 10.0
File format: BlueIris DVR
Direct to disc: enabled

With these settings above, I have lots of ghosting when there are movements - daytime & nighttime.

I have changed the iFrame Interval higher and also lower - made no difference, ghosting still exists.

I have changed the HA decode from Intel to Intel+VPP - made no difference. However, I think the ghosting was resolved if I set it to 'No', so could it be the Intel drivers?

Otherwise, what else can I tweak to improve this?

Thanks,

First try matching the iframe interval to the fps. There are posts in the 8th gen thread where a user has the same issues...there is a problem with some 8th gen drivers for some systems. You might also try lowering your bitrate by half, its needlessly high.

Thanks. I've matched the iFrame as FPS to 15. And changed the Bitrate to 8192. Ghosting still happens. :/

Yes, I've been reading about the issue with 8th gen drivers. Will working with Ken @ Blueiris help to improve this or do I need to reach out to Intel?

I saw this WiKi under 8th Gen - it says that 24.20.100.6194 and also 24.20.100.6229 works better.

Would you recommend that I downgrade to either of these versions above?

Thanks. I'll try both drivers and see what the results are.

I also contacted Intel and they're looking into this. Will post back when I hear anything back from.them.

Installed 24.20.100.6229 - the ghosting has *almost* disappeared, but it's still there. Will run it for a day and then going back further to old version to compare.
