A big "thank you" going out to MilkIsBad. I did order the 2CD2632F-IS units from him. They arrived today in good working order. For those who are interested:


  • These are HikVision cameras with some rebranding. They do not have "HikVision" printed on the outside (mine had no branding other than a small sticker on the bottom). They are made of the same materials (I have an actual HikVision branded unit from another source; they are identical).
  • The rebranding appears to be only physically cosmetic (ie. lack of printing on the barrel) and in the UI. Functionality is identical to HikVision's branded cameras.
  • The UI looks the same with 2 exceptions: 1) the front page has a different image when logging in and 2) the color scheme is different. Other than that interaction with the UI (menus, wording, layout, etc) are identical.
  • The units I received were regionized for the US (I believe this is done by HikVision to sell into the US market). This is important because of the next bullet...
  • I successfully updated both units to the latest US firmware (v5.2.3) with no problems. The UI comes up with the HikVision branding (and color scheme) and is shown in English! Woo Hoo! Note that the UI only offered English (no other language options).
  • LTS Security (company I purchased from) provides a 3 year warranty.
  • With these units the audio works correctly (unlike the ones I purchased from Amazon ... and sent back).
  • The price was a tad bit higher than those I found on Amazon but only by a few dollars (as in <$50 difference). But these come with a junction box. This is something HikVision sells separately. I don't know if I will need to use it, but it is a nice addition and makes up for price differentials.


Overall I am very happy to have found MilkIsBad. I am officially a happy camper. :)

Big Thanks to Milkisbad, Great customer service from the start, i sent him an email about what i needed to order and gave me some good ideas of what to get, i ordered the DVR from him only at first because i was skeptical about it, but just received my DVR in the mail. The Process was painless and great to have such good service at great prices, big thank you. i attached my picture and getting ready to make my 2nd order for my 16 cameras i need.

The unit i brought was
LTN8816-P16 NVR-P 16ch 80Mbps Dual Stream CMS HDMI RS-232/485 16xPoE

P.S. he provides invoice with tracking and signature on delivery can't ask for more.

Thank you once again. i will keep coming back, i will make my camera order tomorrow. thank you.

Hey Milk, I really wish I had found this 3 days earlier. I bought 2 Hikvisions from eBay oh well you live and learn. Please send me your catalogue I have more to purchase after getting the other ones. I much rather help out our community even if it's a few dollars more. Good Customer service is always well worth it! Looking forward to working with you.

I'd also like a copy of your catalog, am interested in purchasing a DS-7732NI-SP/16 NVR if you have those available...or perhaps a few cams :)

@milkisbad when you update your sales and catalogue do you post an update here or send it to the people who asked for a list? Good prices btw ;)

Catalog and pricing, please. I'm looking for a complete system with nvr and IP cameras.

Great site here with lots of helpful posts. I've been doing a lot of research and I think that the Hikvision will be the best way to go for a long term investment.
