Edit: I ended up hearing back from him. Edit #2: Got an order placed at a very fair price. Can't wait to see it installed.

@ibuyufo what in the world did you purchase from China at $2k? There are plenty of US suppliers that could have assisted with an order of that QTY. Also that is a lot of trust in a chinese supplier, especially since warranty will be minimal or require shipment/import/duties back into China for repair/replacement.

Ended up purchasing 5 of the PTZ 10x optical zoom bullet cameras from Monica Wen. A Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4/16P, 3 x DS-2CD2742FWD-IS from Joanna. I couldn't find the NVR with any seller except in aliexpress.

Well, going the aliexpress route was the economical thing to do, you sure wouldn't have gotten that sorta hardware stateside or even private label from milk for that price. be interested to know how those ptz cameras turn out.

I actually ordered 2 of those PTZ cameras and from the short amount of testing they seemed pretty good. There's a thread here about the camera and people are very positive about it https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/5456-Mini-PTZ-camera-impressions!-2015-PTZ-camera-of-the-year. I initially bought 2 just to test and hooked them up to a POE switch and ran them though the computer using Genius Vision NVR. Then I saw it was pretty good so I bought 3 more.
