They exist in Jersey. They are also destructive as all hell. Hope he eats both of them next time.

My wife feeds everything that comes into the yard. That wouldn't "fly" with her. :)
We've not seen any damage that we can attribute to flying squirrels, we've had them for 20+ years.
There were actually 4 flyers on the tree at the time, two were on the side away from the camera at that moment.

Here is my barn with the siding removed. The black is all excrement and the liquid stains are from pee.

I now have two electric zap traps. Baited with sunflower seeds.
