Hi guys, I'm Artur from Poland, Europe.
I'm newbie in this business, so I need your help and knowledge.
I'm looking for an IP camera with PT or PTZ, PoE and as small, as possible.

What I have?
1. Living room with open kitchen and hall (ca. 40 square meters) - please see attachment
2. Suspended ceiling
3. Synology DS214Play with SS

What I need?
1. An IP camera ;)
2. A small one, becouse this is a living room and my wife will not be happy with large "toy" in the middle of wall.
3. Need to works with Synology Surveillance Station
4. Wide angle to see whole room by one camera
5. Motion detection
6. Pan/tilt to move camera and tracking the object (for example my cat or maybe... a thief?)
7. PoE

What isn't necessary, but will be nice?
1. Zoom - this is not a big space
2. IR or good night vision
3. Audio recording

What is my budget?
$200

What I'm thinking for?
1. IPC-HDBW4431F-AS
Pros: Small, 4MP, 2.8mm lens, IR, Price
Cons: Sensor, no zoom, no P/T* (?)

2. IPC-HDB4431C-AS
Pros: Small, 4MP, 2.8mm lens, Price
Cons: Sensor, no IR, no zoom, no P/T* (?)

3. SD42C212T-HN
Pros: Small - can install it in ceiling, P/T/12xZoom
Cons: Sensor, no IR, no wide angle

4. SD52C225U-HNI
Pros: Small - can install it in ceiling, P/T/25xZoom, the best sensor, 60fps in 1080p
Cons: No IR, no wide angle, Price - over budget

5. SD29204T-GN
Pros: P/T/4xZoom, IR, wide angle
Cons: The biggest one, sensor

6. IPC-A35
Pros: P/T, IR, wide angle, price, wifi
Cons: Big, sensor, no PoE

7. Xiaomi Yi Dome 1080p
Pros: P/T, wide angle, price, wifi
Cons: Big, no IR, sensor, no PoE, no working with SSS

* There is an info about Pan/Tilt/Rotation Range in the datasheet:
Pan: 0˚~60˚; Tilt :0˚~80˚; Rotation: 0˚~360˚
But can I move the camera lens in Synology Surveillance Station? Or this is only option to move it manually for the best position within the installation process?

The question is: What should I choose and why?

Welcome.

None of the above. This one: IPC-HDBW4231F-AS | Dahua Technology In the 3.6mm lens.

Anything of the PTZ variety that is any good, won't be small.
Any Ptz with Auto tracking that actually works will be expensive.
Use more than one camera to cover the area.
2mp will give you much better night time images.
Put the camera in the corner of the room, if you truly want to see the entire room.

Go to the Dahua subject here and start reading and viewing examples of cameras.
