Guide for configuring new IP cam? (blue iris)

I recently purchased a PC and BI -- software is up and running.
I also purchased 4 dahau cams, and 1 reolink cam.

I am having trouble getting BI to "see" the cameras. I have watched dozens of setup guides, but they all seem to skim over the part where you add the IP camera / assume it is simple.

Is there a guide that will help me out there? Or, is there a certain keyword I should be using to find the sort of help I need?

Details:

• My LAN subnet is 192.168.99.x.
• Two cams (1 of 4 dahuas, and the 1 reolink) have an IP address in the 192.168.99.x range. The other three cams are still assigned 192.168.1.108
• I tried a browser to navigate to 192.168.1.108; nothing loads.
• I have tried using the Dahau config tool -- it only sees the one 196.168.99.x cam (regardless of the search range), and it says it is already initialized.
• In BI, none of the cams are autodetected. When try to add the two cams with IP addresses in my same subnet, both cams show "no signal".

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

in the network ip camera ocnfiguration page of the specific camera, you can click "Find/Inspect..." and Blue Iris will try to find the video stream. After that, you still have to input the user and password, otherwise it won't work. To get the 192.168.1.x cameras to work, you'll have to create a subnet with 192.168.1.x (p.e. with an old router), connect the cameras and your computer, log in to the camera and turn on DHCP or change the IP to something in your actual subnet.

• The documentation that came with the camera does not say what the default password is. Online searches suggest it is admin/admin. I keep looking for a guide that covers troubleshooting if it doesn't connect, but I'm not seeing anything.

"log in to the camera"

• The camera comes with a very sparse instruction sheet that references "Quick Configuration Tool". Not sure where to locate this online.
• I have tried using the Dahau config tool, but that doesn't work either.
• Question: Is there a method of "logging into my IP camera" that I am overlooking?

When you hit the webpage of a new dahua camera it will force you to create a password.
The easiest way to do this is to change your subnet (ip range) to 192.168.1.1-254. Otherwise, if the config tool is not working, simply change the ipv4 address of your pc to 192.168.1.1 (see threads or google search on how to do this). Connect the pc and one camera to the switch (nothing else) You will then be able to access each camera one by one. Set the pc back to auto when done.

A very easy way to find the password of many super cheap cameras is using ONVIF Device Manager. The program is a must have, it automatically detects all ONVIF-compatible cameras on the network (almost every ip camera supports onvif). You select the camera on the left, then click "live video" and below the video ONVIF Device Manager shows you the streaming URL it found, oftentimes including a password.

Example: rtsp://192.168.145.3:554/user=admin_password=tlJwpbo6_channel=1_stream=0.sdp?real_stream

For the three cameras with the default 192.168.1.108 IP address, make sure you only have one of them connected to the network at a time. Once you change the default IP address one on, then you can plug the next one in.

Update:

By changing the PC's ipv4 address to 192.168.1.1, I was able to initialize and change the IP addresses of the rest of the cameras (which I did via IE browser -- would not work via dahua config tool).

BI now autodetects all 5 cameras. I added them all, and 2 of 5 have video. Yay! FYI, the other 3 say:
- No Signal (missing address or device)
- No Signal (Error 8000007a Check port/user/password)
- No Signal

I greatly appreciate your help! I'll attempt to tackle my remaining issues later today.

When using find inspect, it pulls the onvif profile, you need to activate the onvif user/passwords in the camera
